I can see a lot of potential in being able to drag and drop objects into a world and I can see the downside of content being used out of context. I can remember not wanting the originality of techuelife island being diluted by my trees being used in other worlds.
I know from experience it's a lot of work keeping a VRML links list maintained. I could never keep it up to date, let alone have time to add thumbnails. I think ER's search engine could be very good for vrml
ER chat does not have the infamous blaxxun chat bug that causes crashes.
Many of the arguments made against ER for not doing more to protect content I have already heard made by Cybertown users for why it is not good to use the free blaxxun home community server.
Blaxxun Contact does not have HAnim support built in. Bitmangement Contact does but Bitmangement Contact has a floating logo and it does not yet support the HAnimDisplacer. Seamless3d has been able to output HAnimDisplacer nodes since early 2004 but ER is the first VRML/X3D browser I have tried that can utilise this node.
I am not telling anyone what to think I am asking people to think about what I have said.
Yes Sarah you are free of course to add the url for techuelife island to your blaxxun server.
If the urls are not hidden and the content is not being used out of context I can only see this as something positive.
Thanks for your continued support.
